A track-order written by a mad-man... trust me it was better this way.

These tracks were written over the course of my first 22 days in the lockdown of Covid-19, March-April 2020. A harrowing time, to be sure. I spent a day on each of the original demos, in which time I tried to capture what I was feeling each day.

These tracks are written from the heart, and a lot of emotions collided and went into each one. I really hope you will enjoy these pieces as much as I've enjoyed preparing them for you.

I taught myself a lot more of the ins and outs of the software and hardware available to me in a short amount of time. After spending about another month on a single remix after that, I came back to revisit these tracks with all that I had learned about mixing and mastering. The result is far and beyond the original demos.

Heavily influenced by artists including Radiohead, Deadmau5, The Cure, Sigur Ros, Emika, How to Dress Well, Trent Reznor, Trentemøller, Hans Zimmer, The Appleseed Cast, Third Eye Blind, Arcade Fire, Coldplay. And probably The Mars Volta.

(Not all tracks written during that period made the final cut. A couple were not representative of my best work. A few were covers that I did not fit the spirit of the album. All original demos, (in day order) can be found on my music blog, Dead Waveforms: chahnmakessounds.tumblr.com)
